HICKORY, N.C. — The Catawba Valley Community College women's basketball team earned its second win of the week on Sunday, defeating C3 Concord Christian School 72-50 at the Tarlton Complex.

Ja'Nya Wiley led the Red Hawks (2-0) with 14 points, Jordyn Adams added 12 points and Jonnah Castillo scored 12 points.

CVCC pulled out to a 38-21 halftime lead behind nine points from Adams and six from Charlotte Coyer.

With the lead in hand, the Red Hawks outscored the Rams in each of the four quarters they played in Sunday's contest to come away with the 22-point non-conference win.

The CVCC women's basketball team returns to the court on Saturday, Dec. 6 on the road against Cape Fear. Tip off is set for 1 p.m. in Wilmington, N.C.
