HICKORY, N.C. — The Catawba Valley Community College women's basketball team set a season-high in points on Thursday in an 80-61 home victory against Wake Tech at the Tarlton Complex.
Kameron Smith scored a career-high 29 points in the win for the Red Hawks, while teammates Jordyn Adams (17 points), Addison Sisk (11 points) and Ja'Nya Wiley (11 points) also reached double figures in scoring.
CVCC pulled out to a 42-31 halftime lead powered by Smith's 15 first-half points.
The Red Hawks outscored the Eagles 38-30 in the second half on their way to their second conference win and regular-season sweep against Wake Tech.
The Catawba Valley Community College women's basketball team returns to action on Monday for a road contest at Cleveland. Tip off is set for 5 p.m. in Shelby.
