The Catawba Valley Red Hawks travelled to Jacksonville on September 9th to face Division 1 opponent Florida State College on their way to the Pasco Hernando Invitation Tournament that weekend.After a long day of travel, Catawba Valley started off slow in their first set, losing 25-17, before rebounding to put a fight in set two. The Red Hawks won set three 25-16, but fell short in the final set 26-28.
